SCHEDULING

Accurate, realistic and reliable scheduling is a critical part of construction management.  WOLNSKI Scheduling Services, Inc. provides oversight and experience to anticipate problems, identify delays and offer solutions. We utilize the Critical Path Method (CPM) of scheduling using current software including Oracle Primavera P6 Professional, Asta PowerProject and Microsoft Project.

Initial Setup of the Master Schedule is prepared by WOLNSKI based on input received from the Contractor, Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers, Owner and any others involved in the project.  Activity Input forms are distributed to all parties to assist with the collection of activity descriptions, durations and activity logic.  Following the collection of activity data, WOLNSKI will meet with project leadership to develop a rough draft of the schedule using information provided by all involved. This draft can be reviewed by all project participants, and a final Master Schedule will then be prepared based on participant feedback.

Schedule updating is performed during Progress Meetings held on a regularly scheduled basis.  During Progress Meetings, WOLNSKI will facilitate with discussions and conduct a thorough review and analysis of the project schedule.  Actual progress since the last update is incorporated into the current schedule.  Adjustments to the schedule are analyzed, reviewed and approved in the meeting.   Multiple views of the updated schedule are typically distributed the same day.

PROGRESS REPORTING

During the Progress Meeting, WOLNSKI will conduct a thorough review and analysis of the project schedule.  Actual progress since the previous meeting is incorporated into the schedule.  Adjustments to the schedule are analyzed, reviewed and approved in the meeting.  Following the Progress Meeting, a Progress Report is issued to the project distribution list.  Each Progress Report includes the following:

  • Attendees List / Email Distribution List of those in attendance at the meeting and a list of individuals designated to receive the Progress Report via email.

  • Meeting Notes to document important issues discussed during the Progress Meeting and to summarize current job status.

  • Progress Photos to capture the overall condition of the project.

  • Updated Schedules incorporating current progress.

  • Action List used to document and track important items to be addressed or completed by a certain date and by a certain responsible individual or company.
